March 2026
Dear
all
I
have just returned from South Africa and as
always was heavily inspired by the nature over
there (the picture above is from the Drakensberg
mountains, and the music inspired by a herd
of elephants). But all of that plus my sister
from the States visiting us in Bruges last week
(I turned 60!) took me off my communication
schedule, leaving just a month before my next
Berlin visit!
I
do not have any confirmed events as yet (I know,
very bad in European terms - not like in South
Africa, where I recently had at least two beautiful
events that were arranged with in two to three
days). But still, some possibilities are on
the table and I throw it out to you for any
more ideas, suggestions or initiatives.
In
a way, a gathering of friends for a musical
happening is better not planned too far in advance.
It raises the element of chance and surprise,
and the makes us all the younger for it.
So
the available dates are the weekend of 24
to 26 April. On Monday 27 April, it is Freedom
Day in South Africa, commemorating the dawn
of the post-Apartheid democratic dispensation
- a dispensation that still holds and is currently
a beacon of human rights and progress in a bleak
world situation. I keep trying for some schools,
but also here, any school contact you might
have, I could present a special South Africa
themed performance or workshop on this day.
The
Suzuki violin workshop is still scheduled for
that evening.
See
all below for more details and feel free to
get in touch.
Work
with me to make things happen!
With
best regards
Francois (HA!Man)
